Typical wine from the south of Italy. The grapes are harvested late (late September, early October) with a high degree of ripeness. This gives the wine fruit influences of dried fruit like prunes and sultanas. A short stay in oak completes this with notes of chocolate and spices.

Food and moment

Great wine to accompany roast meats and game dishes such as wild boar and venison. Excellent with mature and hearty hard cheeses. Perfect wine for later in the winter evening.
