Industry-leading Noise Canceling: With four microphones on each earcup, this is Sony's biggest step forward in noise canceling. This registers ambient noise even more accurately for an impressive reduction in high-frequency noise. Thanks to the Auto Noise Canceling Optimizer, the noise cancellation performance is always and automatically optimized based on wearing conditions and environmental factors such as atmospheric pressure.

Dual Processor: The WH-1000XM5 uses two processors that together drive eight microphones to deliver unprecedented noise cancellation quality.

Premium sound: A specially developed driver unit improves noise reduction, especially in low frequency ranges. In addition, it improves the clarity of the sound and the bass reproduction. The headphones support hi-res audio content thanks to LDAC technology and therefore transmit three times more data than conventional Bluetooth audio. The sounds lost when compressing the original music source are restored by DSEE, bringing it closer to the original recording.
